| Channel Strategies |
We have extensively studied both
channels and customers. We have traveled the country looking at both
of these key subjects. Our Channel Plan structure has been utilized
by companies worldwide. With this experience, we can create the best
plan possible for your needs.
What do we mean by outlet and channel?
Outlet: a place where something
is sold, a single entity that can basically sell anything. These
can include kiosks, store fronts and carts.
Channel: A grouping of common retailer or food
service outlets that have similar consumer characteristics. These
consumer characteristics are so similar in fashion to be able to
cluster outlets into channels.
Channel Research: We could create
a channel study that shows the best to target for your products. This
study will prioritize which channels would be best to go after first.
Not only will there be channels listed, but those customers as well.
We will list by area, those customers that are appropriate to target.
This list of customers would have all the key details such as name,
address, phone, contact and email.
***Specific Channel Plans: We could create plans that would be catered
to one channel. Examples of a channel plan target include: |
|
|
|
Channel Management:
We will create a strategy for you that details the best way
to manage a specific channel. One channel might be better served
if you targeted them by phone where another may need physical
contact. We will show you what the traditional way of selling
would be for that specific channel.
We will educate you on our path of a typical channel structure:
Outlet to Sub Channel to Master Channel. |
Developing
New Markets: We can create a market study that will
show such topics as channel density in that market, new trends,
what retailers might be coming in and other related subjects.
We could also show you what manufacturers that may or may not
have a stronghold in specific areas, what areas show the most
promise and so on! Customer/Target Database Creation and Management:
We could create a database that would warehouse all customers
and targets. This database could be given to you in the program
of your choice.
The customer/target details could include: |
| |
The Account Number (e.g.
00-454500)
The Account Name (e.g. McLain’s General Store)
The Account Address (e.g. 605 E 2st St)
The Account City (e.g. Port Angeles)
The Account State/Region/Province (e.g. Washington)
The Account Country (e.g. USA)
The Account Zip Code (e.g. 98362)
The Account Phone Number (e.g. 602-462-2317)
The Account Fax Number (e.g.360-452-9338)
The Account Contact or Buyer (e.g. John Sebastian)
The Account Email Address (e.g. John@Mclainsgeneralstore.com) |

Customer
Profiling: We can create specific customer profiles
detailing items such as channel ranking, business volume and
key management details. This would be in addition to your customer/target
database.
Retailing Strategies: Do we set up our own
retail stores for our products? Do we devise an outlet store
strategy? How do we market close coded or out of fashion merchandise?
Do we set up a ‘store within a store’ concept with
a retailer? We can show you examples of these and other strategies
and let you know what is working and not working. |
